The Dukha

Carmen Morrow (film editor for Playtone Productions headed up by Tom Hanks & Gary Goetzman) is big into Reindeer - so much so that she traveled to Mongolia to spend time with and make a film about one of the last remaining nomadic Reindeer herding tribes.

The film is rare and precious glimpse into the intimacy of the ancient bond between land, animals and people. Carmen has also created superbly beautiful felt animations throughout.

I was honored to compose the score, with help on strings from my longtime collaborator Dominic Johnson. "The Dukha" score was tailored towards children and is still screening at festivals around the world.
